Wojtek (VOY-tek) Dabrowski is the Founder and Managing Partner of Provident Communications Inc. Wojtek is an expert-level communications leader with a proven track record of protecting and enhancing global brands and delivering sound strategic communications counsel to senior executives.
Before launching Provident in 2016, Wojtek served as the Vice President of CEO Communications at Manulife Financial Corp., one of the world's leading financial services companies. In this role, Wojtek led and advised on all aspects of the internal and external CEO communications strategy, from executive communications and speaking engagements to media appearances and financial results communications.
Prior to that, Wojtek was Director of Executive Communications at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), one of the world's largest banks, and the largest in Canada. In this role, he provided strategic communications counsel in support of RBC's CEO and its Chair of the Board. Notably, he played a leadership role in the internal and external announcement of RBC's largest acquisition to date, and led the development and launch of the CEO's LinkedIn Influencer campaign.
Also during his time at RBC, Wojtek led internal and external communications for the bank's largest business, personal & commercial banking. Prior to that, he led the communications teams responsible for the wealth management and capital markets arms of TD Bank Group, a leading North American bank.
Before his corporate communications career, Wojtek spent 10 years as a daily business journalist, covering a variety of sectors for Thomson Reuters, the Financial Post and The Canadian Press. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and has completed the Canadian Securities Course.
Melanie Anne Filipp is an Account Director with Provident Communications Inc. A senior brand and communications strategist with more than a decade of experience in the industry, spanning the consumer and corporate sectors, she is passionate about fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Prior to joining Provident, Melanie held Director-level roles with a national PR agency, where she oversaw public relations and influencer marketing for a global beer brand, as well as a boutique firm, where she led and implemented the agency's consumer PR and crisis communications.
Throughout her career, she has developed innovative communications strategies for brands such as Molson, Labatt, Beau's All Natural Brewing Co., Unilever (including Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty and Hellmann's Real Food Movement), Sabra and Wrigley. She also has a strong track record in financial services, having worked with NEI Investments, Crowe Soberman LLP and Justwealth Financial.
